We made it to Armadillo well ahead of schedule, but there’s no reason to push through any further today. It looks like we’re going to take a good nap and then track down some good BBQ.

I got to Albuquerque before the restaurant that I wanted to eat at actually opened. Therefore, we powered through to Tucumcari, NM. We decided to get out of the car and eat outside at a Sonic. As you can see, Truman gets the tots. Sweet Peach called the mint.
Time to hit the road again. Today’s goals: lunch in Albuquerque and a hotel in Amarillo. We have 3 audio books and 13 podcasts already downloaded to my phone for the king stretches of country where streaming won’t be an option. Wagons…East!
