Yesterday’s post was a little more depressing that I originally intended. In order to prove that I didn’t spend Princess’ entire birthday as a buzzkill, here’s a picture of one of the highlights of our day which included a trip to Sea World.
As you can see, I try to do more than just mope around when there’s a reason to celebrate with my lovely daughter.
There are probably a few things that you should notice from the picture. First, I’m wearing my normal sh*t-eating grin. Second, I was on day 8 of leave, and the facial hair is coming in quite nicely. Third, while she may look terrified, she was having a blast, and we actually went on the ride again immediately because she enjoyed it so much.
You may also notice my left hand. It’s pretty obvious that there was no way I was letting go of her during this ride. She may have passed the height requirement, but there’s no way that I’m letting some arbitrary number decide that my daughter is safe.
Of course, the reason we had to buy the picture was her hair. She has the most beautiful hair in the world, but it’s not very often that it looks like one of those troll dolls.
Happy birthday sweetie. I love you more than you’ll ever know.
