If you get a chance, head over to the Dad Revolution website and check out a guest post that I wrote entitled Doing the Right Thing. Dad Revolution is one of my favorite group blogs, and it was recently selected as one of Babble’s Top Ten Group Dad Blogs. I submitted another guest post there a few weeks ago that I was really proud of entitled Greater than the Sum of our Parts. If you make the trip over to the website, please take the time to read that post as well.
I won’t be doing any more guest posts for the site, but it’s for a good reason. I have been asked to become one of the regular contributors to the site. This is a huge honor and something that I’m incredibly grateful for. Dad Revolution complements my blog very well because it takes a more serious look at fatherhood, while I try to keep it (at least somewhat) light on Military Dad. It will give me two incredibly relevant forums to express my thoughts on what it means to be a father.
I’ve already started writing my introductory post in my head, and I’ll have it up on the site within the next few days. Even though Dad Revolution is strictly a fatherhood blog, I will still be writing from the point of view of a servicemember, because to be honest, it’s the only point of view that I know. I couldn’t write about my family without being influenced by the military anymore than I could write about the military without mentioning my family. The two are so entwined at this point, that they can’t be separated. In short, they are me, and that’s what I write about.
Therefore, if you get a chance, take a trip over to Dad Revolution and check it out. There’s a great group of bloggers over there, and they have a lot of great content. I’m proud to say that I will be joining them in the next couple days.
